Thank you for visiting my website! I appreciate you investing time to learn more about me. Born and raised in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood, I knew I always wanted to play and entertain people but I never knew I would be doing it as an Actor. In fact, I still have dreams of becoming a baseball player. I first grew an interest in acting when I was a young student at the Midtown Center for Boys. There I grew an appreciation for reading out loud and math. However, I didn’t fall in love with acting until I joined my high school Improv team. My experiences at De La Salle made me curious about play and caused me to look for a well rounded collegiate theatre experience. Bradley University in Peoria, Il, opened my mind and heart to the training and teachings of Suzuki, Lecoq, Meisner, Alexander, Stanislavsky, Linklatter, Brook, Clurman, only to name a few. At Bradley I was able to create my own artistic color palette, using costumes, lights, directing, producing and of course acting to paint the portrait of the life I am now pursuing. And in what better a place than sweet home, Chicago!
I feel blessed to be able to learn and do as much as I have. Redmoon Central, where we were able to shatter the earth in BONEYARD PRAYER, clown around in DR. EGG AND THE MAN WITH NO EAR and unlock the child and wonder inside us all in THE WINTER PAGEANT REDUX. At The Artistic Home, I was asked to dream a little in THE INCOMPLETE AND RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS. In 2006, I met a group of scrappy actors, directors and a stage manager and together we formed Point of Contention, where I’m currently the business manager (remember my appreciation for math??). It’s been a long 3 years, but we are now 5 main-stages, 3 new works festival’s and fund raiser’s under our belts with a full season at our 2010 home, Boho @ Heartland Studios, to look forward too.
I hope you enjoy the rest of my website. Take a look through my picture galleries and resume and find out what else you can learn about me. Don’t hesitate to drop me a line on my guest book if there’s something you want to know, something you are doing and would like me to see or just to say hi. Take care!
